Kilkenny City Club has been active for the last 60 years. During that time we have won many County & National Titles. Our latest achievements are County & All-Ireland Bowling Champions 2005, County AIB Club of the Year 2004/2005 & 2005/2006, County Indoor Mens Soccer 2004-2005, International Miss Macra, Queen of the Land. We also participate in novice debating, drama & creative challenge. The club currently has 33 members and has their meetings in Brannigan's Pub, Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny, every 2nd Thursday night @ 8.30pm.

Competitions
Creative Challenge
We have won the Creative Challenge County Final for the last three years running. In 2005, the club got to the All-Ireland Semi-Final in Maganey, Co Carlow, with the team of Aoife Lanigan (Cookery), Catriona Byrne (Be Creative), Michael Parsons (Carpentry) & John Heffernan (Banner). In 2006, the club got to the All-Ireland Final in Clontouty/Rossmore, Co Tipperary, with the team of Aoife Lanigan (Cookery), Catriona Byrne (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), Karl Marshall (Carpentry) & Denis Drennan (Presentation). In 2007, the club got to the All-Ireland Final in Clontouty/Rossmore, Co Tipperary, with the team of Aoife Lanigan (Cookery), Karl Marshall (Carpentry), Fionan Brennan (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) & Stuart Galloway (Presentation).
Drama
We won the County Final in 2006 & went to represent the County at the All-Ireland Semi-Final in Athboy, Co Meath, with the production of 'Jack Furey', which they won. The Cast was Martina Muldowney, Sinead O'Sullivan & Karl Marshall. The Director was Michael Casey. Martina won best actress and Michael won best director. The All-Ireland final was held in Bro Boru, Cashel, Co Tipperary. We represented the County at the All-Ireland Semi-Final in 2007 in Tinahealy, Co Wicklow, with the production of 'The Last Tango at Stoneyford'. The Cast was Sinead O'Sullivan, Karl Marshall, Kate Carew & Michael Sommers. Director was Michael Casey. Sinead won best actress & the cast won best team work.
Novice Debating
The Novice Debating Team won the County final. The team was Kate Carew, Mary Drennan & Sandra Murphy.

Travel
We have travelled to many destinations throughout Ireland over the years, including Sligo, Dundalk, Cork, Donegal & Galway. The lads have gone on sun holidays over the years.

The Mens & Ladies teams paricipated in the Blitz this year, but didn't qualify for the finals

The County Final was held on Saturday 7th January in O'Loughlin's. Eamon Gibbons won the Mens Singles title & Aoife Lanigan won the Ladies Singles title.

Kilkenny City held their 35th Annual Dress Dance on Saturday 10th February 2007. There was a good attendance of 135.
